Effect of Fluorocarbon Polymers on Hydrophobicity, Wear Resistance and Corrosion Resistance of Epoxy Resins

In order to meet the anticorrosion and wear resistance requirements of petroleum pipelines, we selected a polymer (FC) containing difunctional hydroxyl propyl acrylate (HPA) perfluoroalkyl ethyl (TEAc-N) free radical polymerization prepare hydrophobic fluorocarbon chain oil special functional group. Combined with tetrafluororesin (F4), hydrophobic, wear-resistant corrosion-resistant properties epoxy coating were improved. The optimum synthesis ratio TEAc-N:HPA was 9:1, FC best hydrophobicity prepared. angle 100.3% higher than that pure Q235 section steel. By adding 5 wt.% resin (EP), increased by 65.4% oleophobicity 32.1% compared EP. coefficient friction reduced 73.8%. EIS test results showed impedance modulus in low frequency region (|Z|0.01 Hz) two orders magnitude coating. composite has sufficient utility wear, heat corrosion for pipeline transportation.
